So it’s the start of 2021. I am sat with a coffee on a Saturday evening (yes, I am now weening myself off the alcohol) and I’ve finally had some time to reflect on 2020, and also think positively about the New Year… and what a year it is going to be. I can feel it in my creative bones.
Vanilla changed direction a little last year (didn’t we all), we focused more on print design and less on wedding stationery, partly because of the lack of weddings (due to the restrictions) we had so many brides having to postpone their weddings, but we also found so much joy in creating new personalised prints.
We have really enjoyed designing for you and your homes, and not to mention meeting all our lovely new customers. We’ve got to know you all a little bit more – we’ve loved hearing all your stories and tales of your crazy doggies (even a budgie too) and extended families, the most we had to fit onto a print was a family of 9 (we managed it with a squeeze). We’ve had tears of joy when your dog prints arrived, we’ve had bottles of vino and chocolates to say thank you. We really are very blessed.
Never could we have imagined the success of the virtual shopping groups that appeared on Facebook, where you all decided to shop local and use small businesses (you’re the best) The orders came flooding in, our most popular being our cute dog prints and wonderful family prints. They were a hit! We simply couldn’t keep up with all your orders, infact, we became that busy we stopped promoting and finished all ordering on 4th December! We needed to catch up a little and make sure that everyone got their prints in time for Christmas. Don’t worry, we know we have some customers wanting prints in the New Year, we just needed a teeny weeny break to re-coup.
But now we are raring to go again, we have lots of new Personalised Prints coming this year, and of course our old favourites like our Wedding Song Prints and Song Lyric Prints, they will always be here. But we just wanted to take some time to say a huge thank you for all your lovely messages, kind words and all your pics that you’ve sent us of your prints in their forever homes.
